This is a great lunch spot. I had the sabch pita and hubby had the gyro. Both were delicious and so were the fries. The owners are very nice and friendly and it's cute inside.
I love to eat at Don Leon's. My favorite is the Gyro. Leon & Susan are delightful. I frequent there when I am in the area.
We grabbed lunch here so we didn't have to go into town, which was gonna be quite busy and hard to find a parking spot. Easy place to park and get in. The food is outstanding. We all got gyros and they were delicious and fresh. The staff is amazing and kind, love their fedoras! And Don Leon was there, came to a table and chatted with us. Very lovely people and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
The gyro was juicy and full of flavor. The French fries had zesty spices on them which were great. The service was fast and Don Leon visited the table to be sure we enjoyed it. He came out of retirement to open this cafe and it is a special place. The room has many different things to see on the walls with articles and poems. He and his wife are great cooks.
DonLeon is back! After a 10 year hiatus, da Don has reopened on Dillard Rd. Great burgers, chowder, gumbo plus Highlands best fries. Open until 3, with free coffee as long as the doors are open.
